Here at CGO, you can now look up realized auction prices for certified Cals of all the three periods, namely, 1, 2 and 3.  Not only can you view prices along with their associated grade, date, auction house, name of the collection, lot number, and certification (such as PCGS and NGC), You can toggle on and off each graph line and/or data balloons!you will also see data plotted in line graphs!

 


 

And, what's more is this feature where a line is plotted for each grade from MS-67 and all the way down to below AU-53 - all in oneSlide your mouse's cursor across the grid to view data associated with each point on lines for all grades. graph grid for each given BG variety number!  Each line is color-coordinated with its associated grade listed in the legend below the graph.  You can even look up the exact price and all its associated data by holding your mouse's cursor over a data point on any of these colorful lines.

Want to spread data out a little?
Sure, you can!  Simply click on one of the following interactive buttons to stretch out the graph
grid vertically. In this way, data will spread out - thus, making it easier for you to view them.  As easy as ABC!

Analyze data by grading company?
Again, no problem!  Make your selection by clicking on one of the three major grading companies, such as PCGS, NGC, ICG or NCS (above the graph grid), and all sales certified by the selected company will then be displayed.  Of course, you can always have all of them combined and plotted together for any given BG number.


 

Analyze data by auction venue?
Once again, no problem!  Make your selection by clicking on one of the three major auction venues, such as eBay, Heritage and Teletrade.  All sales auctioned off by the selected venue will then be displayed.  What's more, you can, for example, elect to view all sales for a selected grading company and venue at the same time.



Analyze sales by their totals or based on time?
Yes, you can do that also!  By selecting either "Accumulative" or "Time-sensitive," you can view data in two different ways along the x-axis.  With the "Accumulative" option selected, the x-axis will display the total number of sales found for each grade starting from the left side.  With the "Time-sensitive" option, the x-axis will show percentages from zero (earliest sale found for a given BG variety) to 100% (the most recent sale date).  In this way, you can, at a quick glance, see which grades are most active over the past few years and which grades are not.



Auction prices for certified Cals of Periods 1, 2 & 3
are compiled from several sources and plotted in a "cumulative" manner with the number of sales in a chronological order (from 1993 to present) on the x-axis and with prices along the y-axis.  New data wherever available will be incorporated here with graphs updated accordingly from time to time.

At this time of writing, there are over 10,075 records of certified-Cal auction sales in its database - all available for display at your beck and call!
 

Informative data are prominently displayed above the graph.

That's where you will find all the following bits of information:

  • Total number of auction sales found for a given BG number
  • Date of this BG variety's most-recent sale
  • Total number of records in database (over 10,075 records!)
  • Total number of PCGS-slabbed Cals found for the BG variety
  • Total number of NGC-slabbed Cals found
  • Total number of ICG-slabbed Cals found
  • Total number of NCS-slabbed Cals found 
  • Total number of Cals sold by all auction venues
  • Total number of Cals sold by eBay venue
  • Total number of Cals sold by Heritage venue
  • Total number of Cals sold by Teletrade venue
  • Total number of Cals sold by all other venues
  • Date of the latest addition to the database.

Want to narrow or widen your searches?
Yes, you can!  Click on "All" both for slabbing companies and for auction venues to view all auction price records for a given BG number. For example, if you want to focus only on PCGS-slabbed Cals auctioned off by eBay, simply click on "PCGS" and then on "eBay."




Want to see its picture and rarity values?

Fret not!  Just click on the Quick Jump button next to the BG variety number, and you will then be taken directly to its associated picture and rarity values in CGO's other Visual Guide.  No more typing in the BG number twice - just enter it only once in either Visual Guide to Auction Prices or Visual Guide to Cals and you can go back and forth between these two guides with ease.  [Note: This feature is available for "Gold Miner" and "Gold Pro" subscribers only.]

Each line graph is dynamically created "on the fly"
in response to your submission of a BG number.  Both X-axis and Enter any valid BG number here and submit - as easy as ABC!Y-axis are automatically adjusted to cover the ranges of values found in data for each submitted BG number. In this way, the dimensions of each graph remains the same, thereby ensuring that the entire graph grid will fit on one screen display (1024 pixels by 768 pixels on a 19" monitor).
 

Imagine now, with one quick glance at the graph, you can tell the direction of price trend for each grade for a given BG variety number, whether it is flat, downward, upward or even zig-zag!

You can turn off all data balloons so that you can have an unobstrusive view all the graph lines.
